Spider Lilly

These wonderful spider lilies are popping up all over our yard. Some come up right through the grass in the middle of the yard, but most are clustered in little groups! Safety in numbers, I guess! And they keep well as cut flowers, which gives me time to bring them inside to paint.

It's painted on a 6" x 12" deep panel. I haven't thought of a clever name for this painting yet. Any suggestions?

  1. Cool composition Amy. The flower is so sculptural. Is that a word? I like the cool background against the red flower. Did you finish the fish painting?

  2. Thanks, Carol. No, I haven't finished the koi painting. I'm working on it in between getting ready for Bluff Park and Kentuck!
