Technical problems

I'm still having some issues with the postings on this blog, so I've re-directed it to a slightly different address. Hopefully this will fix the problem. Please go to this address and click to follow me there.

Thanks so much for your continued interest in my paintings. I'm hoping to be a better blogger in 2013!

Polar Bears

I've been experimenting with a new Arches paper for oil. No need to gesso or do any prep work, just jump right in. So I've tried a few using oil washes and oil pastels. This is a new technique for me. I photographed these in my basement studio with my phone, so the quality isn't great, but you can get the idea. Each are 15"x22" (half a sheet of paper).

Toby

Well, it's been over 6 months since I last posted on my blog. I was having some technical problems with it and got really frustrated with trying to fix it. I'm going to try posting the same way for a couple of weeks and if that doesn't work, I'll start over with a new format and hope it magically fixes the problem!
This is a 5x7 oil painted on board.

Don't Forget the Sunscreen

I had a great show in Savannah last weekend. This piece sold to another wonderful artist at the show, Signe Grushovenko, but I wanted to post it anyway. This couple was walking on the beach at Tybee. It looked like they hadn't been out in the sun much so I had a little fun with the title!

Bashful

The mama cow seemed oblivious to the camera, but the calf is curious!

Moon River Marsh

This was painted from a photo of the marsh near the Moon River (yes, the one from the song!) on the way to Skidaway Island in Savannah. I love to let the windows down and smell the salt air every time I head back home. It's painted on a 12"x30" board.

Telfair Art Fair

I'll be participating in the Telfair Art Fair in Savannah, GA this weekend. If anyone is in the area, please stop by booth K2 and visit. I have lots of new work to show, just haven't photographed them all. This cow is a 5x7 that I finished a couple of weeks ago. It's titled "Grazing."
