I know I said I would hold off on posting paintings of dogs for awhile, but I was so happy with how this one turned out, I couldn't resist! This is the third portrait I've done for this family. It's on an 11"x14" panel.

Carmel
One more dog, and then I'm going to try and post paintings of other subjects for awhile! But Carmel is the second of three paintings I've done for the same family. Zacky was the first and I'm working on Sunny now. These cuties are really lucky to have such a loving home. Thanks, Linda, for asking me to paint all of them for you and your husband!

Jack
Jack is a brother to Maggie, a dog I painted before Christmas. The owners are friends and each asked me to paint their dog as a gift for their husbands. I love how Jack turned out. He's much more chiseled and muscular than his sister, but both of these dogs are two of my favorites. Jack is painted in oil on an 11x14 cradled board.

Truman
I've been busy with lots of commissions for holiday gifts so I haven't posted lately. I did finish my large koi triptych and will post final pictures as soon as I take some good ones. In the mean time, here's a painting (11x14") I finished for one of my sister's friends. His name is Truman.

Zacky and Monkey

This is Zacky with his favorite toy, Monkey. I haven't painted a dog with such long hair before, but it turned out to be lots of fun to paint. And I was glad to be able to incorporate Monkey into the picture.
