"Struttin'"

There's nothing like the confidence of a small dog. This one was was definitely struttin'! We had a corgi growing up, and he exuded the same confidence on those six inch legs when he was around other dogs.
I promise to add some paintings of subjects other than dogs in the next few posts. These have just been really fun to paint.

"Rear View"

The name says it all. Lots of these pooches have their tongues out. I guess because it's SO HOT here in the summer! Below is another cutie. This was actually the first Pepper Place Dog I painted. Some of you that are familiar with my work know I've painted a lot of cows. I'm trying to take that same approach with these guys.... bright colors in a loose style. If you'd like, you can check out some of the cow paintings on my website. This one is called "Spot" for obvious reasons.
