Morning Reflections

I apologize because I've totally ignored my blog for the last month and I'm trying to get back into the habit. It seems once you ignore it for a little while, it's much more difficult to make yourself be diligent about posting. But here's to trying to be a more consistent blogger. I hope all of you that followed and commented in the past will give me another shot!

These two women were cruising on the beach in their floppy hats in Savannah one morning in June when we were there visiting my parents. Their reflections really were almost as intense as they were. It's painted on a deep 12"x24" cradled board.

Golden Undertones

This study was from a photo I took of the marsh along the Moon River in Savannah. The marsh changes constantly depending on the time of day and the weather conditions, and as the tides come in and go out. It's really amazing to watch. If you set up to paint outside I don't think you could ever paint the same scene twice. This is on a 6x12 canvas.
