I'm pretty sure this is a female longhorn. We took pictures of these cows in a field in February, several calves with their mothers. The lighting was perfect that day and I tried to capture the wonderful shadows in the painting.

Was just in Oklahoma this weekend and tried to take some pics of long horns but my camera fogged up. Glad to see you painting lots!
