Pet Portraits

I've been so delinquent in posting, mostly because I've been working on commissions for the holidays and haven't taken the time to catch up. But I thought I'd post a few of the pet portraits while I have a minute. I want to add a little slide show of the pets I've done, but that might have to wait until after Christmas.
I love how this first one turned out. This is Maggie, a white lab, and she looks both regal and quirky (is that possible?) to me, as if she knows something we don't! She was painted on an 11"x14" cradled panel.

And this is a small portrait of Tater. I did her for a wonderful artist friend of mine, to give as a gift.
