Don't Forget the Sunscreen

I had a great show in Savannah last weekend. This piece sold to another wonderful artist at the show, Signe Grushovenko, but I wanted to post it anyway. This couple was walking on the beach at Tybee. It looked like they hadn't been out in the sun much so I had a little fun with the title!

Incoming Tide

Another beach painting... I think these were siblings enjoying the water coming in and going out. I still think it's fun to stand at the edge of the water and watch your feet burrow a little deeper into the sand each time the waves go out! It's painted on a 16x20 gallery wrap.

Morning Reflections

I apologize because I've totally ignored my blog for the last month and I'm trying to get back into the habit. It seems once you ignore it for a little while, it's much more difficult to make yourself be diligent about posting. But here's to trying to be a more consistent blogger. I hope all of you that followed and commented in the past will give me another shot!

These two women were cruising on the beach in their floppy hats in Savannah one morning in June when we were there visiting my parents. Their reflections really were almost as intense as they were. It's painted on a deep 12"x24" cradled board.

Bird Watching

This is from an old photo of my daughter, Sara, at Tybee Island about ten years ago. I think she was actually feeding the seagulls when I took the photo.
